December 16, 2014– Shat-R-Shield’s Ironclad™ Fluorescent Vapor Tight fixtures have received NSF certification.
National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) International is an organization focused on public and environmental health that provides standards for consumer goods. Many of Shat-R-Shield’s lighting products are used in establishments that require NSF certification, especially food processing facilities. The Ironclad™ fixtures now meet all qualifications for any facility that mandates a NSF rating. Testing includes Splash Zone certification, in which the fixture must withstand high-pressure wash down with hot water and sanitation chemicals.
“Having the NSF rating on these fixtures allows us to further cater to our existing customer base,” says Chuck Draper, Shat-R-Shield Product Manager. “The Ironclad™ fixtures now have the certifications to back the quality of the product itself.
Shat-R-Shield’s industrial grade Ironclad™ Fluorescent Vapor Tight fixtures are designed to withstand extreme conditions in harsh environments where moisture, dust, dirt or humidity is present. They are rated NEMA 4X, NEMA 5, IP-66, NSF, UL, cUL, and are USDA and UL Wet Location approved. These industry leading certifications make these fixtures ideal for applications such as industrial, cold storage, tunnels, bridges, subways, parking garages, food processing plants, loading docks, refineries, clean rooms and construction sites and waste water treatment plants.
